EJII Grassroots Capacity Building Grant
What are Grantee requirements if awarded a $1,000 - $10,000 - Technical Assistance Grant?
EJII will make grants between 1k – 10K for each partner to use specifically to address an Environmental Justice issue or need that develops an actionable skills or community capacity to engage in Environmental Justice advocacy in the state of Wisconsin.
6 one-hour coalition meetings (2022-23)
Quarterly Coalition report (2 Reports) - Online submission
Annual Coalition convening (1 Virtual summit) - Participate in culminating virtual conference - Breakout discussion panelist
Recruit new iniaitive members / residents to complete - Racial Equity Primer & Climate Resilience Virtual Workshop Training Program)
Each new member recieves a $50 training & education stipend after virtual trainings sessions are complete!
How to submit grant proposals?
It will take 1 -2 hours to complete online application
Use a seperate document to copy & paste prewritten responses in proposal submission form.
Prepare to upload:
W9 (Organization or Individual(s))
IRS 501(c)3 Letter (preferred /not required)
If not a 501(c)3 upload identification of two primary project owners / mangers.

Examples of possible Capacity Building ideas include:
Design, plan and host a series of virtual events to bring awareness to your group's environmental justice issue propose a plan that enroll new supporters into the movement.
Sustain an existing Environmental Justice outreach and engagement campaign underway – propose a plan to sustain your work and build your base.
Engage in collective impact and join a campaign effort to address resilance in commniteis of color
These capacity Building Funds are being provided to assist your team in building the technical capacity/ skills to help shape and support our collective environmental justice and climate resilience work across the state of Wisconsin and your overall organization’s success.
