Richard has a strong belief in the need for equitable development and investment in local communities, and has worked hard to ensure that all voices are heard. He has been involved in numerous initiatives aimed at creating stronger ties between organized labor and progressive allies, developing innovative strategies to advance economic justice and equity issues, and engaging leaders to develop partnerships between grassroots organizations and institutions.
He is committed to building a base of support for collaborative solutions that will promote economic development, social change and sustainability. Richard has also been involved in efforts to strengthen the voice of working families in state and national politics, and continues to advocate for the rights of vulnerable communities. He champions partnerships between different sectors, organizations, and individuals, while always keeping equity at the forefront. Richard’s experience and commitment to advancing economic justice has made him an invaluable asset in the fight for a more equitable Midwest region. He is proud to lead Coalition of Lead Emergency, field, and communications staff and looks forward to continuing his work on behalf of better outcomes for all communities.
